Greatest Hits is a 2004 compilation album by Neil Young. It is his third solo-era compilation, following Decade (1977) and Lucky Thirteen (1993), and focuses on material released between 1969 and 1992.
Much of the track list overlaps with Decade, with eleven of the first twelve songs drawn from that earlier set. Young stated in the album’s liner notes that selections were made based on a combination of original sales figures, radio airplay, and download history, framing the collection as a snapshot of his most commercially and culturally visible recordings rather than a comprehensive retrospective.
