NEW DOUBLE LP
New sealed copy. 2025 remixed and remastered reissue. Remixed by Steven Wilson from the original 16-track master tapes, this release offers unparalleled sonic clarity and a fresh perspective on a classic. Gatefold jacket.
Chicago’s second album, released in 1970 and often referred to as "Chicago II," cemented the band's place as a standout in American rock. It was their first under the shortened name and the first to feature the now-iconic cursive logo. Like their debut, it arrived as a double LP, but this time with a more deliberate and cohesive vision.
The album features the ambitious multi-part suite "Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon" and politically charged tracks like "It Better End Soon," blending jazz, rock, and classical influences with a pop sensibility. It produced three major singles—"Make Me Smile," "Colour My World," and "25 or 6 to 4"—and reached number four on the Billboard 200. Bold in both scope and sound, "Chicago II" is a defining statement from the band’s early period.
