NEW LP
New sealed copy. Clear vinyl.
Loose Talk is the first full-length release from Bryan Ferry in nearly a decade, and it finds the Roxy Music frontman in entirely unfamiliar territory. Released March 28, 2025, the album is a collaboration with visual artist and writer Amelia Barratt, pairing Ferry’s sparse, atmospheric compositions with Barratt’s elliptical spoken-word texts. It is the first time Ferry has created an album using words written by someone else.
The result is a quietly radical work—fragmentary, intimate, and abstract—yet unmistakably rooted in the refined mood and sonic restraint Ferry has cultivated over the last fifty years. What begins as parallel monologues slowly converges into a kind of conversation, with Ferry’s ambient electronics and melodic flourishes shaping a backdrop as enigmatic as the stories being told. Though far from his glam rock origins, Loose Talk reflects the same art school sensibility that first defined his work, reimagined in a modern and experimental context.
