Black Rhythm Revolution! is drummer Idris Muhammad's debut album as a leader, recorded in 1970 and released on Prestige Records in 1971. Produced by Bob Porter and engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, the album features trumpeter Virgil Jones, saxophonist Clarence Thomas, pianist Harold Mabern, guitarist Melvin Sparks, bassist Jimmy Lewis, and percussionist Buddy Caldwell.

The five tracks include covers of contemporary soul and funk hits alongside Muhammad's originals. Extended performances of "By the Red Sea" and "Wander" feature memorable grooves and compact solos, while renditions of Charles Wright's "Express Yourself," Jack McDuff's "Soulful Drums," and James Brown's "Super Bad" balance funk rhythms with jazz improvisation. DownBeat described the album as showcasing "the rarely recognised funkier side of the jazz–fusion genre."
