The next installment in Frank Turner’s 10th anniversary reissue series revisits Positive Songs for Negative People, his sixth studio album and a defining moment in his career. Originally released in August 2015, the album debuted at No. 2 on the UK charts and features the anthemic single “The Next Storm.” Recorded in Nashville with longtime collaborators The Sleeping Souls and producer Butch Walker, the record channels resilience, defiance, and heart into a collection of rousing folk-punk anthems.
Released exclusively for Record Store Day 2025, this limited edition 2LP set is pressed on striking blue and red vinyl and mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios. The expanded edition includes a second LP featuring the Mittens EP—with B-sides available on vinyl for the first time—and the Hamburg Demos, previously unreleased recordings made at Wilhem Rock in Germany during the album’s early stages.
Housed in a metallic-effect gatefold sleeve with an O-Card and a 4-page insert featuring lyrics and new liner notes penned by Turner himself, this anniversary release offers both a retrospective and a deeper look into the creative process behind one of his most emotionally charged records.
