NEW DOUBLE LP (ETCHED SIDE D)
New sealed copy.
"Can Live in Keele 1977" is the latest release in a series of live albums excavated from the Spoon Records vaults and fan recordings, meticulously compiled by founding member Irmin Schmidt and producer/engineer René Tinner. This long-anticipated recording captures the most requested performance since the series began. "Live in Keele 1977" showcases the vibrant energy of late-period Can. Recorded in March 1977, the core lineup—Irmin Schmidt, Jaki Liebezeit, Michael Karoli, and Holger Czukay—is joined by Rosko Gee (Traffic) on bass. Gee's addition allowed Czukay to explore "waveform radio and spec. sounds," producing otherworldly audio effects, samples, and what one reviewer later described as "moontalk to a white continental telephone."
