NEW LP
New sealed copy. 2026 reissue.
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' fifth studio album, Let's Face It, was released on March 11, 1997, through Mercury Records and Big Rig Records. The album achieved significant commercial success thanks to its lead single "The Impression That I Get," which reached number 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Additional singles "Royal Oil" and "The Rascal King" also performed well, charting at numbers 22 and 7 respectively. The album reached number 27 on the Billboard 200, making it the only Bosstones album to enter the top 50, and was certified platinum.
Critics gave the album positive reviews. Sputnikmusic called it "a quintessential piece of '90s ska" and "one of the greatest ska-punk albums to come out of the nineties," while AllMusic described it as "a rousing success and easily one of the band's best albums" despite slightly slick production and short playing time. Rolling Stone's David Fricke offered more reserved praise, criticizing the production as "flat."
In 2004, Let's Face It was ranked number 36 in a Kerrang! reader poll of the 50 greatest punk albums.
