NEW LP
New sealed copy. Orange vinyl.
Mariachi El Bronx is the fourth album by Mariachi El Bronx, released after a ten year break between studio recordings. The project began as an unexpected offshoot of the Los Angeles punk band The Bronx, with members exploring traditional mariachi instrumentation and songwriting alongside their main group.
What started as a side project gradually developed into a full parallel identity for the band, blending classic mariachi arrangements with contemporary songwriting. The group has performed widely in both the rock and Latin music worlds, appearing on television programs such as Late Show with David Letterman and NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, and playing major festivals including Coachella and Glastonbury Festival.
The album continues the band’s approach of combining mariachi traditions with modern influences, with songs including “Forgive or Forget,” “Bandoleros,” “Songbird,” “El Dorado,” “Fool’s Gold,” “The Takers,” “RIP Romeo,” “Gambler’s Prayer,” “El Borracho,” “Tie You Down,” and “Into the Afterlife.”
