This release documents Warren Zevon’s final concert, recorded on August 9, 2002 at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. The performance was not intended as a concluding statement but stands as the last recorded set of his career. Zevon appears on guitar, harmonica, and piano, accompanied by Matt Cartsonis, who contributes guitar, dulcimer, fiddle, and harmony vocals. The set list includes established material such as Werewolves of London, Poor Poor Pitiful Me, Lawyers Guns and Money, and Play It All Night Long. It also features Dirty Life and Times, a song performed only twice, along with covers that acknowledge the host country, including Joni Mitchell’s A Case of You and the traditional Canadee i o.

Epilogue Live at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival is presented for the first time on two black vinyl LPs with an etched fourth side. The audio has been mastered and restored by Michael Graves and Jordan McLeod with Cartsonis. The package includes liner notes by Cartsonis that outline the circumstances of the performance and his long working relationship with Zevon.
