For Record Store Day 2025, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Rush frontman Geddy Lee offers a rare glimpse into his solo archives with The Lost Demos—a limited-release 7" featuring two previously unheard tracks, “Gone” and “I Am… You Are.” Originally recorded during the sessions for his 2000 solo debut My Favourite Headache, these songs have remained tucked away for nearly 25 years.
With longtime collaborator and acclaimed producer David Bottrill behind the console, the demos have now been properly mixed and mastered for their first-ever release. Reflecting on the project, Lee shared, “I’m excited to see these two ‘lost demos’ released—I loved the songs when they were written, and in some ways, they feel as fresh and perhaps more relevant all these years later.”
Sonically, both tracks echo the introspective and textured rock palette of My Favourite Headache, reaffirming Lee’s singular voice outside of Rush. First released on November 14, 2000, the album marked a bold creative detour—and these rediscovered cuts now add a compelling new chapter to that story.
