To mark their role as Record Store Day Canada 2025 Ambassadors, Big Wreck will release a deluxe 10th anniversary edition of their acclaimed 2012 album Albatross—available on vinyl for the first time. Pressed on limited edition colour-in-colour vinyl (translucent black with silver), this exclusive 2LP set features redesigned packaging, silver inner sleeves, and is limited to 2,500 copies.
The Albatross (Anniversary Edition) includes a previously unreleased bonus track, “Fade Away,” three new alternate versions produced by Ian Thornley and Eric Ratz, and a live performance of the title track recorded at the Suhr Guitar Factory. A deluxe CD edition with silver foil packaging will also be available, limited to 1,000 copies.
Originally released via Anthem Records, Albatross debuted at No. 5 on the Canadian charts and featured the band’s first No. 1 radio single, holding the top spot for six weeks. Follow-up hits “Wolves” and “A Million Days” also charted in the Top 10, solidifying Big Wreck’s return after an extended hiatus.
